NOPS Public School started its journey in March 2006 with a sole aim to provide Futuristic Quality education to its students and adopted theme concept of ‘DREAM, THINK, ACT’ of DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAAM, a renowned scientist and ex- President of Govt. of India. The school management running under Tripath Samiti Ghumarwin had at first started pre-primary classes, namely Play group / Pre Nursery, Nursery and K.G. by establishing a separate Edukid section for tiny tots. Treading at slow pace it graduated its efforts to Primary, Middle, High and now Plus two (Science Section) from the academic (Session 2015-2016. The school is affiliated with H.P. Govt. for the elementary classes and with H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala from 9th to Plus Two classes (Science Stream).
Class Room for each section of class/ classes, Library, Junior Science Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Bio. Lab., Three Smart Class Rooms, Separate toilets for boys, girls and the staff, One Playground & Two Lawns, Adequate seating arrangement, Dedicated drinking water supply, Adequate Fire Safety measures etc.
It has well established Lab with six Computers and is fully functional to impart I.T education to students of classes 3rd onward.
Three Smart class Rooms with Interactive Boards and Multi Media contents for classes Nursery to Plus two have been established with the help of Educare to enable Sildenafil students to understand the curriculum in a better way and to assist them in co-curricular activities like Rhyme recitation, Storytelling (in 3D), Spoken English, Documentaries, films etc.
Play Group / Pre Nursery, Nursery, K.G., 1st to 10th classes, Plus Two (Science Section)
Courses are as prescribed by H.P. Govt./H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala. Computer Science will be one of the additional subject from classes 3rd to 10th. For Plus Two Classes (Science Section) the following combinations will be available
English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science /Physical Education.
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science/ Physical Education.
These will be 09:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M.
However, class wise school leaving timings will be as follow:
Play Group / Pre Nursery 12:30 P.M.
Nursery 01:00 P.M.
K.G. 02:00 P.M.
1st to 5th 02:30 P.M.
6th to 12th 03:00 P.M.
There will be a school calendar of activities month wise as declared by the Principal in first week of April every year.
It will be English. For Social Studies, Hindi medium can also be availed for classes 6th to 10th.

Co-Curricular Activities:-
House System: – The school has been divided into four houses, viz.
1. Kalam House
2. Kalpna House
3. Raman House
4. Tagore House.
Various co curricular activities are organized in these houses namely Debates & Declamation, elocution, poem recitation, Storytelling, Group song, Calligraphy, Quiz, Skit, One act Play, Exhibition, Science activities, Projects, Drawing & Painting (Poster and Card making etc.) Slogan writing etc.
(b) Sports: Fun games for Edukid & up to 3rd class and games viz Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi and Athletics are organised in the school.
(c) Physical Activity: March Past, Dumbble, Lazium, Physical exercises, Yoga etc are carried out in the school. Every student is expected to take part in these activities.
Evaluation & Examinations
Evaluation and Examinations will be done on the basis of remodeled continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for classes 1st to 8th as follows:

CE is for classes 1st to 8th as per H.P Govt. notification.
Evaluation will be covered in two terms –1st term & 2nd term, each term to be added for final evaluation and for grade.
Two terms are of equal weightage.
1st term will comprise Formative Assesment – I (FA-1), (FA –II) & Summative Assesment -I (SA-1) & 2nd term will be of FA-III, FA-IV & SA-II.
FA –I 2nd week of May FA-II 3rd week of June SA- I 3rd week of Sept.
FA- III 3rd week of November FA-IV 1st week of January SA-II March.
CLASS 1st & 2nd
1ST TERM
FA –I &FA-II each of 25 marks – 10 marks- oral
15 marks written
Total- 50 marks
SA- I 50 marks 10 marks – oral
15 marks – Assignment
25 marks – Written
Assignment means three projects in each subject to be evaluated by subject teacher.
Total marks of 1st term – 100
2ND TERM –
FA –III, FA –IV & SA- II of 2nd term will be as above in 1st term.

Both terms i.e 1st and 2nd term each of 100 marks will be taken into consideration for evaluation and assigning the grade.
Student portfolio will be maintained by each subject teacher containing progress and evidences and their activities of each student.
Co-schololistic aspects like extra ordinary achievements, interpersonal relationship moral values (honesty& respect for others), natural values, social adjustment,
cleanliness and cultural aspects would be considered.
For classes 9th to 12th four monthly tests and two terminal tests will be conducted on the same dates as per date sheet as in case of CCE. Additional weekly/monthly tests will also be conducted.
Parents-Teachers Association (PTA):-
All teachers and parents of the students will form PTA. It will meet once on the last working day of every month in the last period of class. It is compulsory for all and each parent can have feedback from teachers about academic and co-curricular activities of their ward and can discuss other related issues of their wards with them. Quarterly meeting will also be held among school authorities, teachers and parents together on specified days.
Vacation and Holidays: Vacations will be observed as per instructions of H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala/ H.P.Govt. Other holidays are to be observed as declared by the school management. Any day can be declared working day by the school authorities in the interest of students and the school.
Transport-Facility: – The school owns its two buses and one van. It is available on designated routes on no profit no loss basis on variable monthly fare to be assessed quarterly. Fare is to be paid in advance before availing the facility. It is to be paid monthly or so for the whole year i.e. for twelve months.
